Face it. Degreasing metal,
removing graffiti, stripping paint -- no

your work process, it's difficult,
time consuming, and often, frustratingly,
must be repeated.

How Soda Blast Works
Soda blasting is a method of removing surface contaminants and coatings by using
sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). Compressed air from specialized blasting
machine propel particles against the surface to be cleaned. As the sodium
bicarbonate particles come in contact with the surface, it removes the
contaminant or coating. The sodium bicarbonate and blasting machine work in
unison to perform this removal process in a nondestructive manner. The soda
blasting is usually done in open air, booth or cabinet.

Benefits
- Sodium bicarbonate is a environmentally friendly, water soluble material that
can remove contaminants and coatings efficiently normally without damaging delicate
substrates.
- Because it is relatively soft, 2.5 on Mohs hardness scale, it is
the ideal media for many substrates.
- As in any blast application it is
recommended a test strip be blasted to make sure soda blast is the appropriate
blast media for the application.
Physical
Composition of Soda Blast
Natrium soda consists of granular sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) formulated
for various soda blast applications. Each formulation consists of sodium
bicarbonate particles, uniform in size, that exhibit the flow characteristics
needed for productive soda blasting.
